Invenergy donates $10,000 to Disaster Response Team

Invenergy presented Wisconsin Disaster Response Team (DRT) with a $10,000 donation supporting both ongoing cleanup efforts in Walworth County and training for volunteers in Walworth, Kenosha & Racine Counties.  Following storms this summer in the Lake Geneva area, DRT volunteers worked with county emergency management to provide relief and cleanup to impacted individuals and families. Invenergy is proud to support their mission and strengthen future disaster preparedness, training, equipment and response operations throughout Southeast Wisconsin.

"We often talk about the importance of reliability and security when it comes to our energy supply, and the Disaster Response Team embodies what it means to be prepared and support your community," said Jenny Short, Community & Local Affairs Manager, Invenergy. "As long-term community partners, we're proud to do what we can to support the recovery of the Lake Geneva and Walworth County area as well as efforts to train more volunteers across Walworth, Racine and Kenosha Counties."

"The Wisconsin Disaster Response Team extends our heartfelt gratitude to Invenergy for their incredibly generous $10,000 donation in support of our mission. This generous gift will help strengthen future disaster preparedness, training, equipment and response operations throughout Southeast Wisconsin," said Jeff Berard, Executive Director, Wisconsin Disaster Response Team. "Your partnership helps ensure the DRT is ready when our neighbors need it the most. Thank you, Invenergy, for investing in safer, stronger and more resilient communities."
